I managed to take a picture of the moon with a cheap 4 megapixel point and shoot, using the pointer v2 with a 20-50 x 50 spotting scope.

The new pointer is not complete yet, but here it is.

I used two flange bearings to get a smooth but tight horisontal movement. On the rest of the poiter I just doubled up everything and braced the legs, so there is no play anywhere. The whole thing is currently built on an old rim, I am still busy designing the base. I will add pictures as it progresses
