the APHOS

I am building a SPAD to use as an AP platform. It will be powered by a 660w brushless outrunner and LiPO batteries.
It has a high aspect ratio wing to try and make use of the thermal activity that abounds here in the dessert. This picture is a layout of the basic design.

SPAD

I have started building SPAD models . SPAD Simple Plastic Airplane Design.
This is a 2m slope glider. with a wing loading of just over 8oz/sq ft it could hang up there with the gulls.
