I am building a SPAD to use as an AP platform. It will be powered by a 660w brushless outrunner and LiPO batteries.
It has a high aspect ratio wing to try and make use of the thermal activity that abounds here in the dessert. This picture is a layout of the basic design.

That is a huge wing! Do you get the shape right by folding the wing over and letting it tapper off?
Yes , it is a basic SPAD wing , folded over a wing spar and glued at the trailing edge. That gives the shape.
