This picture is of my house taken from about 4 km away , I estimate the model to have been at 600m . The mountain peak in the middle stand about 240m above its surroundings.

I lost sight of the model twice , several seconds at a time , the second time i shut the throttle completely , but it still wouldnt come down . I paniced a bit at that stage , but after I trimmed the elevator for a bit nose down it slowly started to descend.
I finnished the the 14 minute flight with about 15 power left in the batery , so i must have had a lot of help from thermals.

Hey Ballistic I'm amazed at the height you are getting out of this plane. Can you tell me where you got it from?

Cheers

I got my Avistar from Stuart at http://www.flightsoffancy.co.za
Flights of Fancy is an webbased hoby shop , with an Forum where you can get lots of good advice.
Getting the plane up there was done using lots of lift from thermals.
